NFL Week 10 Point Spread and Picks

NFL Week 10 Point Spread and Picks

It’s going to be a great football weekend. There are three teams with seven wins and two with just one loss. While the New England Patriots look like the best team in the NFL, and the pay per head sportsbooks acknowledges, the Seattle Seahawks will seek for some Super Bowl payback on Sunday Night.

Before the Patriots and Seahawks square off, there is going to be a great game in Pennsylvania. The Steelers and Cowboys will try to put their Super Bowl credentials on the table. Pittsburgh needs to remind us why they were one of the AFC top teams at the start of the season. Dallas will try to show they are the real deal by winning on the road again.

These are the NFL Week 10 Point Spread and Picks:

Green Bay Packers (4-4) at Tennessee Titans (4-5)

  • NFL Week 10 Point Spread: Packers -2.5
  • Stadium: Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN
  • Game Time: Sunday, November 13, 2016 | 1:00 PM ET
  • TV Info: FOX

Are the Green Bay Packers a good football team or a bad one? After nine weeks, it’s hard to tell. It’s complicated to say they are good knowing they have dropped the last two games. They sit a .500 and have looked merely average this season. Their 31-26 loss to the Indianapolis Colts at home was their second loss of the year at Lambeau Field.

It’s hard to say they are bad knowing they have one of the best quarterbacks in football. QB Aaron Rodgers have thrown ten touchdowns and just one interception in the last three games. Those numbers haven’t helped the team on anything. The Packers are 1-2 in the last three weeks.

Even with their bad shape, the pay per head sites listed them as 2.5-point favorites on the road. The NFL betting odds is more of an indictment of what the Titans have shown as a franchise over the last few seasons.

Tennessee Titans is under construction.  The team is rebuilding with young talent. The Titans are 4-5 straight up, but they have been in most of their losing games.  Last week against the Chargers, they had a chance to steal that game. QB Marcus Mariota lost a fumble in the fourth quarter, and the team couldn’t seal the deal.

The Titans and Packers face each other only once every four years.  The NFL betting trends don’t have much information about this matchup. However, since week five, no other quarterback has been playing better than Mariota other than Drew Brees and Tom Brady. Mariota has five straight weeks with at least two touchdowns passes.

The Packers are 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a favorite of 0.5-3.0, according to the football betting trends. Green Bay is 1-5 ATS in their last six games in November and 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.

Green Bay is an overrated team this season. They have issues all over the place. They can’t run the football. They can’t defend the pass or the run.  At least Tennessee knows their identity. They will run, run and run until somebody stop them.

NFL Week 10 Picks: Titans +2.5.

Dallas Cowboys (7-1) at Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4)

  • NFL Week 10 Betting Odds: Steelers -2.5
  • Stadium: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
  • Game Time: Sunday, November 13, 2016 | 1:00 PM ET

The Dallas Cowboys are not getting any respect by the online bookmakers. The Steelers are 2.5-point favorites despite their atrocious performance las week.  Pittsburgh not only lost to the Baltimore Ravens 21-14, but they looked broken. The team has lost three in a row and has too many things to fix. A fourth loss in a row would put in jeopardy their playoffs chances.

The return of QB Ben Roethlisberger didn’t help anybody last week. The Pittsburgh Steelers recorded only 66 yards in the first half against Baltimore.  Their 14 points hit the scoreboard in garbage time. The Ravens were already three touchdowns ahead.

So what exactly are the issues holding the Steelers back? First, they are not running the football like the pay per head services expected. RB Le’Veon Bell has been disappointing. He averages 4.5 yards per carry and 75.0 yards per game. Bell hasn’t scored a single touchdown this season.

Without their running game, the offense leans heavily on their passing game. They have become predictable at the time. With Roethlisberger dealing with an injury, the team has no rhythm. WR Antonio Brown is the only reliable source of this offense. He’s coming off seven catches for 85 yards and one touchdown against Baltimore. Yet again, most of the yards came on garbage time.

Last but not least is their defense. Pittsburgh has the 19th total defense in the NFL. They are not good when facing organized offenses; just like the Dallas Cowboys will present this Sunday.

The pph sportsbooks know Dallas has the blueprint to be a Super Bowl contender. They are not only 7-1 straight up but 7-0-1 against the spread this season. Dallas success comes down to their running game. RB Ezekiel Elliot averages 5.0 yards per carry. He leads the NFL with 891 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Elliot scored twice last week against the Browns and showed why he’s the Rookie of the Year front-runner.

The Cowboys are 4-1 ATS in their last five games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game, 6-0 ATS in their last six games following a straight up win and 4-0 ATS in their last four road games. The Steelers are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games in November.

NFL Week 10 Predictions: Cowboys +2.5.

Seattle Seahawks (5-2-1) at New England Patriots (7-1)

  • NFL Week 10 Betting Odds: Patriots -7.5
  • Stadium: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
  • Game Time: Sunday, November 13, 2016 | 8:30 PM ET
  • TV Info: NBC

The last time the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots took the field together, they gave us arguably the best Super Bowl in NFL history.  The stakes are not the same on Sunday Night, but a win could go a long way.

Since the return of QB Tom Brady, the Patriots have looked like the best in the league and it’s not even close. New England is a 7.5-point favorite in the NFL betting odds, and it is not a surprise.  The Pats are 7-1 SU and 7-1 ATS this season.

The Patriots were able to watch the Seahawks struggled to beat the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night. New England didn’t play last week and had two weeks to prepare for Seattle. The Seahawks, on the contrary, will be on a short week.

The Patriots are 21-8-2 ATS in their last 31 home games, 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, and 8-1-1 ATS in their last ten games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.

Seattle has several problems on both sides of the ball. They can’t run the football effectively. But also, QB Russell Wilson is dealing with several injuries. While a significant effort would be enough against any team, it won be enough against the New England Patriots.

NFL Week 10 Picks: Patriots -7.5.
