Neymar agrees Paris Saint Germain deal

NEYMAR has agreed a £133million contract to join Paris Saint Germain this summer, according to reports.

The Brazil superstar appeared set for a long-term stay at Barcelona after signing a new five-year deal last year.

But rumours have suggested Neymar is unhappy at playing second fiddle to Lionel Messi at the Nou Camp.

And according to Yahoo Sport, Neymar has now agreed to join PSG with the French side only needing to pay his £196m release clause.

PSG are due to hold talks with Barcelona officials this week in a bid to negotiate the transfer.

The report claims Neymar’s deal with PSG will put him level with Messi in the highest paid player stakes.

Earlier today reports in Brazil claimed an official announcement on Neymar’s proposed switch could be made within the next two weeks.

The 25-year-old is currently with the Barcelona squad in Japan on a pre-season tour.

Yahoo Sport claim Manchester United and Manchester City have both been in contact with Neymar’s representatives but appear set to miss out.

United dropped out of the race to sign Neymar due to the high financial figures involved, while City are understood to value the player at below Barca’s asking price.

Neymar’s aim at PSG is to become the best player in the world ahead of Messi and and Cristiano Ronaldo.

And should he complete his move to the Parc des Princes, he would link up with compatriot Dani Alves, who joined from Juventus last week.
