Weekend College Basketball Predictions – Feb 25-26

Weekend College Basketball Predictions – Feb 25-26

We are in the closing moments of the College Basketball regular season. Several teams are trying to catch the train to the NCAA tournament, but for some, it is too late now. Others are just looking for a good seeding, and therefore a few wins, in the end, could help a lot.

This weekend there are several changes to bang the pay per head services. On Saturday there are three games with great chances. West Virginia will look to roll on TCU. It’s a favorable matchup for the Mountaineers despite playing on the road.

Florida and Kentucky clash in a SEC battle that should go down to the last seconds. The Gators already stomped on the Wildcats this season. There is a payback factor in this game.

The Champions, Villanova Wildcats will seek to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time this season. Creighton presents a stiff challenge for Jay Wright’s men.

On Sunday, Syracuse and Louisville meet in an intriguing ACC battle. The Orange won a last second game against Duke during the week; can they roll with the momentum?

These are the Weekend College Basketball Predictions for February 25 and 26

(12) West Virginia Mountaineers at TCU Horned Frogs

  • Date: Saturday, February 25, 2017
  • Game Time: 2:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena, Fort Worth, Texas
  • TV: ESPN

West Virginia has been outstanding lately. They have won seven of their last nine games. But that’s not all. The Mountaineers have been one of the best bets in College Basketball. The online bookie software has suffered against them as they are 17-10 against the spread this season.

The Mountaineers have one of the best point-differential in the country with 18.71. They score 85.3 points per game and allow 66.6 points. A team like this one is a nightmare for the per head sportsbooks.

TCU, on the other side, has struggled inside the Big 12. The Horned Frogs are 6-9 inside the Conference, including four straight losses before this meeting. They recently were hammered by Kansas 87-68 in their last outing. Baylor, Oklahoma State and Iowa State also beat them by double-digits in the last two weeks.

Keep in mind the Horned Frogs are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Saturday games, 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, and 0-5 ATS in their last five games overall. On the contrary, the Mountaineers are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall, and 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games as a road favorite of 7.0-12.5 points.

College Basketball Picks: West Virginia to win big.

(13) Florida Gators at (11) Kentucky Wildcats

  • Date: Saturday, February 25, 2017
  • Game Time: 2:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky
  • TV: CBS

Florida against Kentucky could easily be the best game of the weekend in College Basketball. The top of the SEC will be at stakes in this one and bookmaker software is expecting a close one.

Both teams have been relatively good beating the pay per head sportsbooks. Florida is 17-9 against the spread this season; meanwhile, Kentucky is 15-12 ATS.

The problem for the Wildcats is the Gators are seriously rolling. Florida has won nine games in a row since their last loss to Vanderbilt. Their last outing was an impressive victory over South Carolina 81-66.

Kentucky has won five in a row and should be full of confidence. However, coach John Calipari said this week his players lack trust in each other. That’s a dangerous statement in the same week they face a team like Florida.

Remember, the Gators already destroyed the Wildcats 88-66 early this month. The online bookies are expecting a close game, but Florida remains the favorite.

The Wildcats are 1-5 ATS in their last six games following an ATS loss, and 3-7 ATS in their last ten games following a straight up win. The Gators are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games, 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall, and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games vs. a team with a winning home record.

College Basketball Predictions: Florida to cover the spread.

(23) Creighton Bluejays at (2) Villanova Wildcats

  • Date: Saturday, February 25, 2017
  • Game Time: 3:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: The Pavilion, Villanova, Pennsylvania
  • TV: FOX

Villanova was surprised by Butler this week, ending a seven-game winning streak. Their loss was a 74-66 defeat that saw them dropped to 26-3 in the season. The Champs haven’t lost two games in a row this season, and this should stay that way this weekend.

Nova hasn’t been a great bet this season; mostly because the pay per head bookies make them too favorites every time they jump on the court. Currently, they have an 11-14-2 ATS record this season. The NCAAB betting trends say the Wildcats are 0-5 ATS in their last five home games, 2-6 ATS in their last eight games vs. a team with a winning straight up record, and 2-8 ATS in their last ten games overall.

Creighton has been quietly climbing in the Top-25 this season. The Bluejays, however, need to bounce back after a 68-66 home loss to Providence in their last outing. But even with their recent loss, they have been great against the spread, posting an 18-8-1 record this season.

The Bluejays are 19-7 ATS in their last 26 games following a straight up loss, 21-5 ATS in their last 26 games following an ATS loss, 7-2 ATS in their last nine road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.

NCAAB Picks: Villanova will win but take Creighton to cover the spread.

Syracuse Orange at Louisville Cardinals

  • Date: Sunday, February 26, 2017
  • Game Time: 2:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: KFC Yum! Center, Louisville, Kentucky
  • TV: CBS

Syracuse is coming off their best win of the season. On Wednesday they upset Duke with a 78-75 result on a last-season buzzer beater. The Orange hasn’t played great this season, but they can put together a good run in the last few games to try to enter the NCAA tournament.

Just a couple of weeks ago they lost to Louisville by a 76-72 score at home. It was a close game, but Syracuse lacked the talent to keep the pace of the Cardinals.

With this game being played in Kentucky, the home team should control the pace and the destiny of this match. The sports betting agents won’t make Louisville an easy bet; perhaps they will jump as double-digit favorites. But the reality is there is a big difference between these two programs.

Louisville played perhaps their worst game of the season against North Carolina, the last time they jumped on the court. A 74-63 loss was enough to see coach Rick Pitino go crazy on the sidelines. I don’t expect a similar performance by Louisville this weekend.

Keep in mind Louisville has won and covered the spread in four of their last five meetings against Syracuse, including the last two.

NCAAB Predictions: Louisville to win and cover the spread.
