Wednesday College Basketball ATS Picks

Wednesday College Basketball ATS Picks

After a weekend full of great games, the midweek will start with four opportunities to make a right wager on College Basketball. There are a couple of weeks left before the Conference tournaments and then the 2017 March Madness.

For this Tuesday we get a SEC battle between Arkansas and Florida. The Gators need to bounce back after an unacceptable weekend presentation. At the same time, Notre Dame is in for a threat against a weak Boston College team.

After a good weekend win over Syracuse, Louisville can take for granted a win over Wake Forest in the upcoming game. The Demon Deacons can shoot. It should be an entertaining game.

And last we get a Pac-12 matchup between the fraught Washington Huskies and the UCLA Bruins. Washington might need a perfect game to leave LA alive.

These are the Wednesday College Basketball ATS Picks

Arkansas Razorbacks at (13) Florida Gators

  • Date: Wednesday, March 1, 2017
  • Game Time: 7:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: Exactech Arena, Gainesville, Florida
  • TV: ESPN 2

After a disappointing performance on Saturday in the biggest SEC matchup of the year, Florida will look to bounce back against a red-hot Arkansas team on Tuesday Night.

Florida’s offense didn’t show up in the 76-66 loss to Kentucky during the weekend. Despite sophomore guard, KeVaughn Allen, scored 24 points on the night the rest of the team never got into any rhythm. The pay per head bookies are not thrilled to back up a team without a good second option in the scoring department.

The Gators dropped now to the second place in the SEC, behind the Wildcats. They are also 17-11 against the spread this season. They average 79.1 points per game, but the 66 points scored during the weekend was their lower total since scoring the same amount against Vanderbilt in their previous loss in January.

Arkansas is on a five-game winning streak, including a 79-68 victory over Auburn during the weekend.  The Razorbacks have been a decent bet, posting a 17-12 against the spread record price vs. the per head sportsbooks.

The Razorbacks have a good enough offense to compete with Florida. They average 81.0 points per game; meaning they could go basket-to-basket until the last minute.  They will be the underdogs in Florida, but with this team hot as it is, taking the points looks like a steal.

College Basketball Predictions: Arkansas with the points.

Boston College Eagles at (21) Notre Dame Fighting Irish

  • Date: Wednesday, March 1, 2017
  • Game Time: 8:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: Purcell Pavilion, South Bend, Indiana
  • TV: ACC Network

Notre Dame is rolling lately, and they find a favorable matchup against Boston College on Tuesday Night. The reality of this game is not about who is going to win, but by how much. The online bookie software will make the Irish double-digit favorites, but can they cover?

Boston College hasn’t won since January 11, when they beat NC State at home. Since then, they have lost 12 straight, including a 91-75 loss to Virginia Tech on Saturday. The Eagles average 72.7 points per game this season, but they allow 77.7.  They have been destroyed in the last two outings, allowing 104 points Florida State and 91 to the aforementioned Hokies. BC is 14-13 against the spread this season, but 1-4 ATS in their last five games.

Notre Dame has won five games in a row entering this meeting. They took down Georgia Tech 64-60 during the weekend as junior forward Bonzie Colson led the team with 20 points on the night. The Irish are 14-8-1 against the spread this season and 3-2 ATS in their last five.

ND has won nine of the past ten games against BC, posting a 6-4 ATS mark in those last ten games.  They met in Boston in February, with an 84-76 win by the Irish. However, it was the Eagles the ones covering the spread as 9.5 points underdogs.

College Basketball Predictions: Notre Dame to cover the spread.

(7) Louisville Cardinals at Wake Forest Demon Deacons

  • Date: Wednesday, March 1, 2017
  • Game Time: 9:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: Lawrence Joel Coliseum, Winston-salem, North Carolina
  • TV: ACC Network

Louisville is coming off one of its best wins of the season. They stomped on the Syracuse Orange 88-68 on Saturday, making a case for why they should be considered a menace when the tournament starts in a few weeks.

The Cardinals improved to 18-9 against the spread this season after the win over Syracuse. Donovan Mitchel and Ray Spalding were unstoppable with 25 points and 18, respectively. Deng Adel added 17 points coming off the bench.

With the win over Syracuse, they are now 4-1 in the last five games. The only team that took them down in that span was North Carolina.

Wake Forest could be a dangerous team if they are on a good night. The Demon Deacons can score some point and keep this game close. They average 81.6 points per game, which is the 24th best number in the country. The bookmaker software is well aware this team stays in the games despite the losses. They are 15-13 against the spread this season.

During the weekend they beat Pittsburgh 63-59 but failed to cover the spread as 7.5-point favorites.

There have been two games between Louisville and Wake Forest since 2015. The Cardinals won both games, but the Demon Deacons were the ones covering the spread in the end. Expect Louisville to be the favorites to the PPH sportsbooks, but also expect a close high-scoring game.

NCAAB Picks: Louisville will win but take Wake Forest to cover.

Washington Huskies at (5) UCLA Bruins

  • Date: Wednesday, March 1, 2017
  • Game Time: 11:00 PM ET
  • Stadium: Pauley Pavilion, Los Angeles, California
  • TV: FS1

The struggling Washington Huskies will have a tough time on Tuesday night when they visit one of the best teams in the nation, facing the UCLA Bruins in LA.

The Huskies have been a horrible bet to the pay per head sites. They have posted a 9-19 against the spread record that includes a 79-71 loss to Washington State during the weekend. They have lost ten straight games. Mostly because their defense is abysmal, allowing 80.8 points per game.

UCLA, on the other hand, is not only ranked fifth best in the nation, but they took down the number fourth best team in the country by beating Arizona 77-72 on Saturday. The Bruins are 14-13 ATS this season. They have covered the spread in four of their last six meetings against Washington.

There is a huge difference between these two programs. UCLA is on the rise as a basketball program, and Washington is 0-10 against the spread in their last ten games.

NCAAB Predictions: UCLA to win and cover.
